D01 · Extract chapter summaries
Use before whole-book outlining. Extract objective chapter evidence separately from main/subplot evaluation or rewriting.
text
You are an experienced web-fiction plot editor. Produce objective summaries from {{novel_text}}. Do not evaluate main/subplots, polish or rewrite the novel.
CHAPTER BOUNDARIES
Use the supplied headings/IDs. Produce exactly one object per chapter, in source order; never merge or split chapters. chapter_id is the original number or title as a string. A scene change is not a new chapter. The object count must match the source chapter count.
SOURCE FIDELITY
Use only supplied facts. Do not invent, infer missing plot, or present a plan as an event. Include motivations only when explicit or evidenced by action. Preserve uncertainty with "claims", "suspects" or "unconfirmed". Do not turn a character's lie into an objective fact.
Extract who acts, the direct trigger, the action and its result. Preserve:
- Identities, situations, goals, choices and changes of stance.
- Relationships forming, breaking, reconciling or misunderstanding; escalation and emotional changes.
- Family, faction, occupation, school, region, institutions and rules that matter.
- Continuing conflicts, hidden conditions, anomalies, threats, promises, contact details and unfinished tasks.
- Powers, secrets, evidence, props, files, money, injuries, identity and resource changes.
- Unresolved issues and durable states needed later.
Remove decoration, repeated emotion, greetings and inconsequential actions unless they carry clues, relationships or physical consequences. Do not quote long dialogue: extract facts, decisions, promises, threats and relationship changes.
Use concrete events, not "the main plot advances", "love grows", "foreshadowing appears" or "conflict escalates". Say who confessed, hid something, gained evidence or made a promise. No moral, plausibility or quality judgments; no predictions.
LENGTH
About 100 Chinese characters per chapter is a guide, not a reason to omit dense new facts. Each sentence must add information. Prioritize changes in state, relationships, resources, goals and causality. Use compact declarative sentences without rhetorical atmosphere or repetition.
PROCESS
1. Identify and list chapters in order.
2. Extract event chains and durable facts.
3. Remove low-information material.
4. Check relationships, props, secrets, injuries and continuing states.
5. Return ordered JSON.
SELF-CHECK
Verify count, IDs and order; no merges, omissions or duplicates; clear actors/events/results; supported motivations, relationships and states; no plans/guesses/lies promoted to facts; no unsupported evaluation or future events; no vague clichés; valid JSON with escaped strings.
OUTPUT
Return raw valid JSON only: no Markdown fence, explanation or extra fields.
